Wine Tasting with Chateau Montelena's brilliant current releases and a six-course tasting menu created by Chef Bertrand Chemel
Chateau Montelena has - quite justly - been in the news a lot over recent years. First for the 35th anniversary of 1976's "Judgment of Paris" when Montelena's upstart Napa Chardonnay triumphed over the best of Burgundy in an historic blind tasting. Then again in the movie Bottleshock, which offered a somewhat fictional (if very entertaining!) retelling of the story. And, most recently, just a few weeks ago when Montelena founder and Napa pioneer Jim Barrett passed away at age 86, leaving son Bo Barrett and winemaker Cameron Parry to carry on the legacy.
Join us on May 13th as Chateau Montelena's Brian Baker will give us a virtual tour of the estate's history, terroir, philosophy and - of course - the five delicious wines! Sample the current edition of the world-beating Chateau Montelena Chardonnay as well as benchmark Cabernet Sauvignons - including the famous Estate Cabernetas well as some of Montelena's less famous wines, a crackling Potter Valley Riesling and majestic, intense, Napa Valley Zinfandel.

2941 has long been known as one of the premier, fine dining destinations in Northern Virginia. In January of 2012, the restaurant underwent an extensive kitchen renovation and dining room refresh, the results of which are sure to appeal to guests in search of a distinctive dining retreat any night of the week. While our unparalleled water views, floor-to-ceiling windows and contemporary feel remain, our regulars and newcomers will enjoy our redesigned bar and lounge, featuring craft cocktails, an extensive wine-by-the-glass offering and fun bar menu designed for sharing with friends.
The dining room has been updated in every way, from carpeting to china, and a new culinary style featuring Chef Bertrand Chemel's award-winning cuisine in a more approachable setting.
